Callie Barbee - Director of Youth Ministries

 

Callie Barbee has worked with young people of all ages for over 20 years.  As the Youth Minister Director at Couts, Callie has a proven track record of inspiring and equipping young people through innovative programs, meaningful Bible study, and dedicated discipleship.  Passionate about fostering spiritual growth and social responsibility, Callie works to empower young people to become active and compassionate leaders in the church and community.  Her deep connection with teenagers is evident in the impactful programs she develops, focusing on spiritual growth and personal development.  When not leading our youth group, you can find Callie exploring new destinations with her family, fueled by a good cup of coffee and a love for creating lasting memories.

 

Holding a Masters of Arts degree in Education, Counseling K-12 from the University of Redlands, Callie's undergraduate studies are in Sociology and Anthropology.  Callie furthered her training with certifications in Foundations in Youth Ministry from the Perkins School of Youth Ministry (January 2022), completed First Aid for Mental Health through Wespath (March 2022), and is certified QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor (August 2024).  Additionally, Callie received the Harry Denman Evangelism Award from our United Methodist Conference (June 2024).
